Two summer Internships are available for SIU students to work with IDNR
Work with Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) professionals gaining practical, hands-on experience in natural areas land management and preparation for entry into the professional job market through training in:
- Natural areas management and restoration
- Invasive species identification and control
- Work in diverse, high-quality natural areas monitoring rare species of plants and/or animals and learning identification and reporting procedures.
- Work with professional staff from other state agencies, federal agencies, and/or non-profit organizations.
- 9 weeks, $420 per week (37.5 hrs/week)
- Late May through Early August 2021
- Temporary (seasonal), 2 positions anticipated
