We, the Shawnee & Hoosier National Forests, anticipate filling a GS 11/12 GIS Coordinator for our forests in the near future.

Why: Because we love maps! And all things geospatial!The Shawnee & Hoosier National Forests seek to fill a GIS Coordinator position. The position is a zoned Geographic Information System (GIS) specialist that oversees the GIS program for both the Shawnee & Hoosier National Forests. The incumbent will be expected to lead GIS specialists assigned to each Forest, oversee the management of all tabular and spatial data related to natural resources and physical sciences, and work cooperatively with counterparts on both units.
The duty station can be at either the Shawnee NF headquarters in Harrisburg, IL or the Hoosier NF headquarters in Bedford, IN. The position is not remote eligible, but telework flexibilities are available.
