font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">The Third Annual Heartland Region Student Summit is taking place at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ton.siu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Touch of Nature Environmental Center<\/a>\u00a0in Carbondale, IL in a little over two weeks!\u00a0 Thanks to you, and the others who joined you around the fire at Camp Ondessonk in 2012, the momentum surrounding this event continues to build.\u00a0 We are now reaching out for your help in spreading the word about this year&#8217;s experience.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Even if you have already graduated, you are invited to attend and perhaps you know of some solid students still around in your program.\u00a0 We have a couple spots left for workshop presentations and are looking for great ideas worth sharing with this year&#8217;s attendees.<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><b>Some key things to know:<\/b><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>The Early Bird registration rate of\u00a0<b>$90.00<\/b>\u00a0for the weekend has been extended until Monday, March 24th.\u00a0 This fee covers the conference, lodging, meals and entertainment.<\/li>\n<li>Check-in starts at 2:00pm Thursday, April 3rd.\u00a0 Opening Circle starts at 4:30pm.<\/li>\n<li>Highlights of the event include\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">a\u00a0<\/span>50th anniversary of the\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">1964\u00a0<\/span>Wilderness Act celebration; student-presented workshops; representatives from federal land management agencies and regional outdoor recreation and education programs;\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">an awesome jazz and blues band playing live Friday night; and campfire mentoring.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Keynote Speaker:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/heartland.aee.org\/conferences\/Keynote\" target=\"_blank\">Karl Rohnke<\/a>, one of the founding fathers of team building and the challenge course industry.<\/li>\n<li>Closing circle takes place at 10:00am on Saturday.<\/li>\n<li>Touch of Nature staff will be facilitating post-conference activities on Saturday, including high-ropes course programming, rock climbing, and paddling experiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
